3 Months to Go

Someone said I'm not blogging enough. So here I am... blogging.

Not much going on. We had another appointment last week. I think I gained another 5ish pounds from last time. I'm up around +20-25lbs. Her heartbeat is up around 140-150 range. They said everything's still going well. Weight gain is good, blood pressure is good, baby's measurement stuff is good. Some may think I'm having a boring pregnancy. But I will not complain about not having any negative symptoms.

So, yes, I'm getting bigger and bigger. She moves around about 3 times a day... sometimes a little more. Clothes shopping gets depressing. When you think you've compensated for the growth, you try it on and it still doesn't fit. Yeah, not too inspiring for the ego. But yes, its normal and all that. I just have to adjust. I've been lucky that the style these days are the empire waste tops so I can get away with wearing them post baby. Jeans, yeah, caved in and got some maternity pants. Its like elastic jeans. It takes some getting used to.

Chris has been doing very well in the daddy department. He talks to her every night so she'll start to recognize his voice. And he doesn't complain about doing a few extra chores or lifting heavy stuff for me. Lucky for him I haven't been demanding weird midnight craving stuff or anything like that.

We've been planning for our baby showers. We're having a SoCal one and a NorCal one. Both in August. For the one in NorCal, we're doing the shower around lunch time (I think) and bringing more people in for a bbq for dinner. Every August we have a bbq to celebrate our birthdays and other August stuff. So, we might as well get it all in on one day. We've been strongly suggested to have a baby registry so people don't have to guess what to give the baby. But we've had generous donations to the cause through hand me downs from family that there isn't much that we need. So that makes populating a registry for two parties kinda difficult. So if you're coming to one of those, gift cards or cash work well too.

In case you're wondering, no, I haven't had weird strangers coming up to me to feel my belly. Of course aunties and other family will do it, but I expect that. I'm not sure what they're feeling for. She's not kicking all the time. She may not be as squishy as your belly, but its still just a belly. A friend of ours is a 1st grade teacher and when she was pregnant her kids would want to feel her belly or hug her or whatever. But she had a sensitive spot that would trigger her bladder every time its touched. So, yeah, I would ask first, cuz if that were me, I don't think that would be very fun.

I think I've babbled on as much as I can for now. I'll try to get some more recent pictures up soon.
