4 Months

Happy 4 Month Birthday, Cathleya!!

That's right. Our little girl is 4 months old as of Monday. Time flies. Reaching the 4 month milestone meant its time for her second round of shots. She didn't handle it quite as well as her first round two months ago. But she quited down shortly after the 4 needle stabbings to her legs near the hips. She didn't enjoy the car seat at all after that though. Lola got her to sleep for a short time when she got home. She weighs in at 13.1lbs at a height of 23". Based on BabyCenter.com, she's within 5%-10% in length and 25%-50% in weight. I don't remember her head measurement. I'll do it at home tonight.

Note on Diapers: Luvs Diapers suck!! Is it too much to ask for elastic waistbands? Cathleya woke up at 2:30 am last night and when she finally settled down, she laid a big one that went up her back and ruined all her clothes. She was wearing a Luvs diaper. Just imagine plumbers crack on a diaper. Lots of room for stuff to come out. And at 2:30 am you're not in the mood to fight putting on a diaper like that. No stretch at the waist means in order to get the waist tabs snug, the legs get constricted. If the legs are snug, there's too much room at the waist. Its like clown pants. Luckily we only have like 6 of those diapers left. I think our preference has always been Pampers Swadlers first then either Huggies or Costco second. Although the Huggies seemed to leave little sand-like jelly stuff on her when she wet the diaper. My sister said the Costco brand left her baby linty in her diaper. We haven't experienced that.

*Updated* So Luvs.com claims they have a "New Bear Hug Stretch" thing on their diapers now. It took 30 years to figure out diapers need stretchy waists? All of our diapers so far have been gifts, except maybe one package. So if you intend to give us another gift of Luvs diapers, please make sure it has this new stretchy thing. Otherwise we'll just regift it to some other new parents that wouldn't know any better. Thanks for letting me rant. =)
