Cathleya's 11 months old now. Time is sure flying. A lot has happened in a month. She now has 6 teeth and one more on the way. Walking should come any day now. She'll take two or three steps on her own, but she's still working on her confidence.
She babbles quite a bit these days. Word association is there too. She knows 'wah-wah' is water. She saw a bird and said 'birdie'. Bah = ball, shoo = shoe, sah = sock, doggie, daddy, mommy, noodo = noodle most of the time. Her all time favorite is still 'duck'. She'll do the thing where she makes a noise and twiddles her lips with her fingers. If you do that to her and stop, she'll grab your hand and bring it to her lips for you to continue. Clapping and waving 'bye', sometimes with the words too. Her vocabulary is expanding every day.
She loves eating fruit. She can feed herself with a baby fork, if you put the food on it for her. She's even mastered the straw. She's quite the ambitious one.
Her cousin, Noelani, made her debut on August 29th. A few days early, but she's doing well. We went to see her after Labor Day.
Cathleya had her first bike ride. Swimming lessons started this month. She loves the water. It got a little cold after a while, but she did great.
These days she weighs in about 17-18lbs. We'll get her height measured next month at her doctor's appointment. More shots. =(
