8 Months

We have now hit the 8 month mark. She got all she wanted for Christmas a little early... she's got 2 front teeth coming in!! They're not quite poking out yet, but they were greeted with a weekend of fevers. It was cousin Kevin's Red Egg party and Jessica's belated birthday so Cathleya didn't have much fun with the fever going on at the same time. Very much not her exuberant self. But she's much better now. We tried taking pictures but she moves a lot so its a little blurry.

At any rate. She's scooting all over the place but no crawling yet. She's been caught pulling herself up to a stand, but not much after that. Mommy hasn't seen it, just Daddy. She's rounding out at about 16-17 lbs. We haven't measured her height lately. Her next doctor's appointment is next month. Stay tuned.

Her Baptism was a success. She was quite the angel the whole time. The smell of the baptism oil lingered for a good week. I think it was in her car seat. =) So introducing the Godparents (left to right in the picture) we have Kathy, Marielle (as stand in for Dinnah), Dave, and Mark. Father Michael performed the ceremony at the Basilica of St. Joseph's.
The Red Egg & Ginger party followed. She could've used a nap, but she had fun partying with her friends and family. The reason she has two cakes is one's chocolate and one is strawberry. A half she wasn't enough, a full sheet would've been too much. We still had leftovers, but what can you do? Oh well.

And of course she can't have a big event without two parties. Lolo and Lola threw her another party in Murrieta the following week. How convenient it landed on Lolo's birthday weekend. =)

Our little girl is growing up fast. We can barely keep up. Crawling and walking soon... fun times ahead.
