AFP

I got stabbed by a guy with a needle today. I went to get blood drawn for the AFP screening test. Its a screening test to check if there's stuff in my blood to show if jr's got potential to have birth defects like spina bifida or down syndrome. The results take a while. I'm sure everything's fine, but its something that CA makes them offer to us. Its an optional screening. They said some parents don't want to take it because it would cause too much anxiety and stress worrying about the results or if it comes out positive, that they'd worry about what they can do, which is not much til the baby's born. And it's got a lot of false positives so that can freak people out too. And its just a screening. Its not a diagnosis. We're confident jr is fine. Our insurance is paying for it anyway. Its a just to be sure type of thing I guess.
