Well, we turned in the forms with Cathleya's new "Childcare Services" lady. She won't be going until March-ish, but at least things are slowly getting lined up. She only takes 4 kids max up to age 4 years old. She's only a few miles away but its still a little bit out of the way. If I'm to take her in on my way to work, which is the likely scenario, then I'll probably have to leave the house 30-45 minutes earlier if I'm to make it to work on time. Chris will be picking her up since he gets off work earlier than I do. We'll see how it goes. I'm sure it will take some getting used to and figuring out the best route to take.
In other news, Cathleya is sorta getting more used to her bottle. She still fights it most of the time. But it is getting a little better. I start work again in less than 3 weeks. So she's got 3 weeks to figure it out. We have faith. =) Not sure how it will be to have to pump at work. She'll be on Mommy's milk for about a year if I can help it. Its nutritionally the best for her. She's making good progress with it so far.
Cathleya is the happiest in the morning. She's smiling more often and almost discovered her thumb. She sucks on her whole fist but we've caught her with just her thumb in her mouth. Seems soothing enough whatever fingers are in there. We recently brought up her swing which she used to hate sitting in. But she seems to like it a little more. She gets to watch the fish while she's swinging back and forth. Hours of entertainment. Well, maybe half an hour. Throw in the vacuum and she's out for the count.
Tummy time is still not her favorite. But she does pretty good on Mommy & Daddy's tummy. She'll get the hang of it soon enough. She's becoming more intrigued with her fishy mobile. She still can't grasp anything yet so toys aren't too interesting yet. Her hands are always a fascination. We need to expand our library so we have stuff to read her soon.
Mommy was a little under the weather this week. Cathleya's had a bit of stuff in her nose too. She hates the snot sucker with a passion. Okay. Technically its called an aspirator. Its this little bulb thing that works like a suction to suck out the snot. Yum. She cries bloody murder, but it helps her breath. Her sinuses will be all clear in no time.
