Growing Fast

If anyone is keeping track, at her 15 month doctor appointment, Cathleya weighed in at 19 lbs, 8 oz, 31 inches tall, with a head of 46.5 cm. In addition to her 10 teeth, she's recently popped out her K9's on the right side. Her left side needs to catch up. But that will happen very soon. Her gums are swollen these days, so its any time now.

But along with teething comes waking up more often at night. At least once a week she'll wake up at 3am. Sometimes just to say... "Mommy...Daddy...Grandma..." and fall back asleep. Other times its to scream out in bloody murder and insist on more milk.

Potty training is on going. But now she's realized, if she says "poo poo" then she will most likely get out of whatever it is that she doesn't want to do at that moment in time, like go to bed. But, when you bring her over to the bathroom she says NO or you sit her on the potty and.... nothing. Its just a time to read a book and play with her toes.

She's still a lover of all things fruit. Corn and carrots are probably her favorite veggies. He's expanded her palette to include cheese. She most often gets string cheese. Meats and fish are fair game, but if the chicken is over cooked or lacks in flavor, she'll pass.

Cathleya's vocabulary is extraordinary for a child her age. She's stringing words together, she recognizes letters, numbers, and people. We like this one... "Mommy?... Mommy?... Hiiiii Mommmmmyyyyy!" With a big smile on her face. With her Thank You's, default is Daddy. But in the last few days she'll say "Thank you, Da... *pause to think* Mommy." She's starting to say "Bess you, Daddy" after a sneeze or nose blowing. She's so polite. She even knows her "Gof Cubs" are for hitting the "Bauw."

More shots next week. Another month old too. Where does the time go?
