I know. I know. There's tons of other stuff to write about. What does she like right now? What does she do with her days? Sicknesses? Vocabulary? Funny stories? Yes. But she's such a handful these days, I lack the initiative to write as any of these things occur to me. You know... terrible 2s and all. This being lent, I'll make it a point to write more often.
One recent noteworthy milestone that occurred recently is that Cathleya is learning what her daycare is calling, "sitewords." In short, Cathleya's learning how to read!
Read? At 2? I didn't believe it at first until one day we were reading Dr. Seuss' "Hop on Pop" and as I read slowly to her pointing at each word with my finger, she recognized and spoke a lot of the short words when I pointed to them! Not only that. If you've ever seen this book, there are lists of words inside the cover of the book. One of her "site words" is ALL. Well, the list goes ALL, TALL, BALL, WALL, SMALL, etc.. She recognized the pattern immediately! I'm so proud of her. :)
Okay. So now that we've covered, albeit very briefly, Cathleya, we can move on to the big news! Not that big since we broke it to everyone in our Christmas cards this year, but we haven't recorded it down in the blog for some reason! We're pregnant and we're expecting in July! Thanks. We'll try to keep this updated.

Daddy was a bandgeek. He had a flute handy. I borrowed it.
A visit to MountainHouse to see Brandon, my new cousin!
